What does Minori mean?

Minori is short for minimalist origins, which is at the heart of our brand’s story. From our founder adopting a less cluttered lifestyle, to the values that guide our product development and business practices, Minori lives its commitment to serving you only the essentials.

Where is Minori based?

We are a small team based in San Francisco, but our founder Anastasia and her husband both grew up in Montreal, Quebec. The secret to our Je ne sais quoi? Our beautiful branding, our photography, even this website were all created by talented Montreal-based creatives!

Are the prices in USD or CAD?

All our prices are in USD but we ship to Canada no problem.

Product Development

Is Minori clean? What does clean beauty even mean?

Words like “clean” and “natural” aren’t regulated, and ingredient lists can be tricky to navigate. At Minori, we want you to feel confident about the ingredients in your beauty products. We worked with our chemists to consciously formulate effective products avoiding over potentially harmful 3000 ingredients such as parabens, phthalates, sulfates, synthetic fragrance and talc. Furthermore, our products are gluten-free, alcohol-free, and nano-partical free, and our mica is always ethically sourced.

Why do you use a mix a natural and synthetic ingredients?

Not all natural ingredients are safe and not all synthetic ingredients are bad. We choose to work with many safe lab made ingredients to help achieve outstanding formula performance, and create long lasting, pigmented makeup that you will reach for every single day.

Are Minori products vegan, gluten-free and cruelty-free?

Yes! All of our products are vegan, gluten-free, cruelty-free and Leaping Bunny certified.

What skin types are Minori products best suited to?

Our non-sticky cream-to-powder formulations make Minori products suitable for ALL skin types. Our founder Anastasia has oily skin and was particularly attentive in making sure our products work well on both oily and combination skin! 

Where are Minori products made?

Our product formulas are made in Houston, Texas. Our primary packaging (the glass jars and lip gloss tubes) are made in China and Taiwan, and our secondary packaging (our cute Minori cartons) and our shipping boxes are made in New Jersey.

How to recycle Minori products?

When you finish our cream blush and highlighter, clean the glass jar, and put it in the recycling bin. (You an also give it a second life by using it as a small container). Toss the cap into the garbage. 

Our lip gloss is currently made out of plastic and cannot be recycled, so please dispose into your trashbin. 

We are working on making our packaging more sustainable for our future productions. We are exploring including more PCR (post consumer recycled plastic) into the caps of the jars and the lip glosses. 

We moved away from offering a recycling take back program ourselves, as the carbon footprint of asking you to mail back empties exceeds the benefit of helping you recycle your plastic empties. Our suggestion is that you bring your empties to a local Nordstrom or Credo which will have a Terracycle or Pact recycling take back box.

How are you plastic negative?

Minori is Certified Plastic Negative through our partnership with rePurpose Global. For every product we sell, we are contributing a percentage towards vetted impact programs that will remove ten times as much nature-bound plastic used in our products and operations. Each of our products now carries a beyond Net Zero Plastic Footprint!

rePurpose Global's Impact Projects remove and recover plastic pollution across seven countries and three continents. Our certificate will help fund Project Neela Sapana in Chennai, India. Over the last few decades, the pristine coastlines of Chennai have been devastated by rampant plastic pollution, affecting wildlife and contaminating waterways. 100% of the plastic recovered through this Project is ocean-bound, which means collecting plastic waste in a 100km radius from the coastline that would otherwise have not been collected. Essentially, it is an intervention to divert this plastic safely away from the oceans before it ever has a chance to leak into it.

Payment, Shipping & Returns

Where does Minori ship to?

Minori ships within the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii and Canada. We cannot accept orders that are billed and shipped to P.O. boxes or freight forwarders. Please sign up for our emails to receive news of when we expand our international shipping options.

Can I modify or cancel my order?

If the shipment has not yet been processed, we will do our best to cancel or modify your order. Email us to support@minoribeauty.com with your order number and request. Please put Cancel My Order or Modify my order in the subject line.

How can I check my order status?

You can track your shipment by clicking on the tracking number provided in your shipment confirmation email.You can also find your shipment tracking number on the My Account > Orders page of our website if you are both logged in and had an active Minori account at the time of purchase.

When will my Minori order arrive?

US orders placed before noon EST will be processed and shipped the same business day. Canadian orders will be processed within 3 business days. Standard shipping takes 3-5 days. If you do not receive your items within 14 days of placing your order, please reach out to us at support@minoribeauty.com .

What is your return and refund policy?

If you’re not completely satisfied with our products, we will gladly accept returns within 30 days. Please note that shipping costs will not be refunded. Please reach out to support@minoribeauty.com with your order number, and we'll take care of the rest. Please tell us the reason for your return so we can work on improving our products and service. Please note that once a refund is initiated it can take 3-5 business days for your refund to reflect into your account.

Can I exchange products?

We currently do not make exchanges. Please email us at support@minoribeauty.com if you would like us to initiate a refund according to our refund policy stated above.
